These high quality, high fashion bags are so versatile and comfortable to wear. Sling them, shoulder them or knot the strap and slip the bags onto your arm. With beautiful colours and wonderful finishes these Wayuu Mochila bags are starting a trend of their own.

The 2 thread Wayuu Mochilas have a thread running through each line of crochet. This makes the bag quicker to make, taking approximately 14 days each. They have a large open centre that has a twisted drawstring closure with large tassels on the end. The strap is hand woven with fringes on each side. 

Mochilas are made by the women of the Wayuu tribes of La Guajira Peninsula of Colombia. The women support their families with the sale of these bags. These bags come via a co-operative market in Colombia where the artisan sells her bags at her nominated price.

The Wayuu Mochilas are made from acrylic wool which provide faster production, better durability and a more vivid range of colours.
